Jacob Riley-Wasserman (1990–2013) was an American designer whose work focused on play, interaction, and everyday objects. He studied furniture design at the Rhode Island School of Design, graduating in 2012, and also attended New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program. His projects explored how design can shape behavior and engagement, often incorporating elements of humor and accessibility. In 2013, following a cancer diagnosis, he founded Flip4Cancer, an initiative to raise funds for cancer research. Riley-Wasserman also developed product collaborations, including designs with Areaware, with a portion of proceeds supporting charitable causes. Though his career was brief, his work reflects a strong interest in design as a tool for connection, play, and social impact.
