Prism Magnifier
Daniel Martinez is a product designer known for his work developed while studying Product Design at Parsons School of Design. During his time at Parsons, he participated in the “Small Things Matter” studio, a collaboration with Areaware focused on creating accessible, retail-ready objects. As part of this program, Martinez designed Prism, a glass paperweight and magnifier that was selected for production by Areaware. The object reflects an interest in simple, functional forms elevated through material clarity and visual impact. Following its release, Prism was carried by major design retailers, including the MoMA Design Store. Martinez’s work demonstrates an early focus on creating thoughtful, everyday objects that balance usability with a refined formal sensibility.
